My Favorite Quotes from Children’s Books

I love children’s books. I love books, period. Before having kids, I find children’s books boring (or so I thought) and totally ignored them. I wasn’t a reader of Olivia or Charlotte’s Web, or Shel Silverstein books. I was focusing more on Garcia-Marquez, Kundera, Coehllo and Esquivel books. When I did have a child, instinctively I was drawn to children’s books. Thanks to Maqui’s list of 100 Best Children’s Books of All Time, I was inspired to collect as many as I can. When I started doing so, I found myself doing the same I used to do with MY books: I underlined meaningful phrases that caught my attention.

Simple as the books may be written, there are so many life lessons that can be quoted from these books that adults should pay attention to. I have compiled my favorites so far because I have plans of printing and framing them or even having one or two hand painted in the boys’ rooms in the future.
